It came from the 80s...: Eighties Nights

Born: Nineteen Bey-ty One.

I’m gonna warn you at the outset, this track from Eighties Nights will break your heart. It’s an excellent piece of music, but all I have for you is a preview clip. It’s just too fucking good not to share.

Eighties Nights describes the above track thusly: “If Beyonce lived and sang in 80’s ;-).” It hurts so good.

It came from the 80s...: Fred Falke, Elohim, and Chrome Sparks

Love this Chrome Sparks remix off Fred Falke’s single with Elohim. Favorite part is definitely the drum pattern starting at 1:24–it seems well-suited to some dancing on the 2’s and 4s. It’s swimmy as fuck.

Elohim is going to be one of the rising stars this year. So, like, you’re welcome.

Fast-forward to today, where Swedish singer/rapper/songwriter Elliphant tapped Skrillex to produce a surprisingly heartfelt, urgent love letter to everyone’s favorite activity (after eating bacon, duh):
